The register under the counter, done properly
Udhaar is how half your business actually runs. Keep every customer's credit ledger inside the POS — balances that add themselves up, payments that clear the oldest bills first, and limits you decide the rules for.

What it does
Credit that keeps its own books
Sell now, settle later
Attach the customer at checkout and send the balance to their khata. Take part of it in cash and leave the rest owing — the ledger records both sides of that in one step.
Payments land oldest bill first
When a customer pays something off, it clears their oldest unpaid bills first, automatically. Pay more than is owed and the extra sits as an advance against their next purchase.
A running balance you can trust
Every entry carries the balance as it stood at that moment, and the customer’s total is re-derived from the ledger itself rather than nudged up and down — so it survives returns, partial payments and a busy counter.
Credit limits, your call
Set a limit per customer, plus credit days and terms. Choose what happens when they cross it: nothing, a warning at the counter, or a hard stop. You can also put an account on hold or blacklist it outright.
Returns do the right thing
Return goods a customer has not paid for and the value comes off their khata instead of walking out as cash. Cash back is capped at what they actually handed over — the rest reduces what they owe.
Suppliers too, same ledger
The same engine tracks what you owe your suppliers. One way of thinking about money in and money out, both directions.
Who runs a khata
If your regulars settle later, this is for you
Karyana & general stores
Regulars who settle weekly or at month end, without a paper register that walks away.
Pharmacies
Household accounts and repeat patients running a tab across visits.
Wholesalers & distributors
Trade customers on terms, with limits and days you actually set.
Restaurants & cafes
Staff meals, office accounts and regulars running a monthly tab.
Where the line is
- Selling on credit, taking payments and setting limits are in every plan from Starter up.
- The full Party Ledger statement and the receivables ageing report come with the accounting module, on Enterprise.
- Credit limits do nothing until you say so — enforcement ships switched off, so you turn on warnings or blocking when you want them.
- We do not send payment reminders to your customers by SMS or WhatsApp. Chasing the money is still yours to do.
